[Image: fad8c86b-2abc-417d-8749-1f3dac301d07.jpg]This is my attempt to incorporate all the controls for radio, governor, TBI, engine start on the older style grip, I prefer it to the later grip as there simply is more room and I had 2 spare. The red button is the PTPTT I could not justify the top hat 4 way switch at $400 plus freight so opted for small push button switches, The TBI primer press button is on the back and barely protrudes, but you can operate it at the same time as pressing the start button
this looks great! this gives me inspiration for my cyclic grip as i have the old style aswell but currently have a mishmash of buttons from the original builder. i plan on redoing the grip layout too but i do have a 4 way top hat switch with one direction dedicated to my active/standby frequency swap.

i'm not sure if i can implement an RRPM toggle with my governor as it is a blue streak, not my ideal governor but its what i have and its not necessary at this moment for myself.

i may still swap over to a B7/B8 style grip for familiarity and looks.
Looks good! I've been working on new ones made of ASA from an existing design since I have the old style as well. Hate not having a triggered PTT switch... These will have it. But, it's another project on the backburner for now! Once the design is complete & functional, I may do a giveaway for some here!

Hi  you can fill in all the old holes in the grip, just need epoxy resin and some black tint, I had to do this a number of times as I changed my mind on my number of attempts
It's going to be a while before I seriously deal with a cyclic grip.   But I'm going to try and keep mine simple.  The simpler the better for me.  Here is a pic of the cyclic control grip on AH-64's I flew in a different life.  It was my nemesis trying to make sure I was pushing, flipping, pressing, touching the right switch.  There are switches on the backside not visible.    I'm thinking a push to talk, frequency flop, and I guess an engine start switch.
[Image: download.jpg]as well.  Possibly something to switch a screen on a iEfis depending on what I end up for an Efis.   I need to start thinking down the road!!!!
