I am Changing the Water Pump Seal on my 162F Turbo.  Any techniques, tips, or "gotch-ya's" you all want to pass on?  I assume it is best to pull the unit rather than trying to change it while the housing is on the aircraft.

I appreciate any help in advance!

this is from Bob St Dennis's website Rotorway Rework. no words but very informative pictures.
shouldnt be too challenging in the grand scheme of things!

you could always upgrade to the electric pump!
I considered going electric, but I don't think I can afford it right now.
When you installed your electric water pump, what do you do for all the fittings and such upstream and downstream of the legacy water pump?  Did you just cut them off the old water pump and reuse them or fabricate new?
Orv's website has a good tutorial as well.
Hi Tim, I hope your seal replacement went smooth, no need to remove the water pump, just follow the tutorial on my website accessed with the link on this forum's home page.
Worked great Orv!  Other than getting that red crap everywhere!
Glad it was helpful Tim.
