RE: Avionics choices - Sam Oliver - 01-14-2026

@Slavik Krassovsky  downloaded your white paper.   What a help that is going to be.  So much great new information for me to digest.    Will take me a little time.   One of the partial A600 kits I have, came with a brand new Mgl Discovery Lite new in the box the original owner apparently purchased through Aircraft Spruce (the packing list shows them as the customer).   The only other hardware was a loose "MGL SP 6 Can".     I had been looking into Dynon's awhile back during the time MGL had lost it's U.S. Distributor.   But since Mgl found a new distributor I think for now, I'll start with that since it's in my hand.    I like the big 10" screen like @Geno Mancini  has.   I also like the Dynon that @Nick Bachert has.    From my experience, for this project, I see it as an "eyes outside" flying adventure with quick glances to verify critical operational parameters.   Entirely possible during construction, I may change my mind and upgrade to a larger screen just to be able to see, not for the added capabilities.   I used to own a Piper Comanche that I upgraded from old analog mostly original, to modern mostly glass with lots of bells and whistles.    Different platform, different mission.
