162F spark plugs
#1
Wondering what would be the proper heat range and spark plug for the 162F engine?

Hey Steven, if you don't get a response soon I'll go to my hangar and see what part number spark plugs I've been running later this week. I used to run Bosch but the factory was sending out NGK's before they shut down, if I recall correctly. So, I've been running those and never had an issue with either.

I think it'd be nice if someone put together a document of part numbers for hoses, bearings, spark plugs, etc.. Maybe a modified parts catalog (builder prints) with annotations for parts we can get online or parts stores, I'd like to have that hosted on our documents page!

i have this note on my spark plugs page.

i cross referenced the original Bosch plugs i had PN(FR7DCX) with NGK's plugs PN (BCPR6ES-11)

i was wanting to do some testing with Pulstars spark plugs PN(IBE1H10) since we have a complete dual ignition system i felt comfortable testing these plugs with a full suit of 4 EGT probes and an AFR wideband sensor installed.

i dont recommend and testing in this area unless those supporting monitors are used.

Thanks for the help. The spark plugs installed are NGK BKR6E by the previous owner. The BCPR6ES-11 appears to be close to the same except the P designation is a projecting insulator type. Do you think they should be changed based on the original design?

i'll let someone else chime in what NGK plugs they have installed from rotorway in the later years, the NGK pn i shared was just the equivalent of the Bosch ones installed in mine.
