it's interesting this happened on a Tensioned Cog belt system,
what style tensioner did it have? the factory Hydraulic tensioner or the factory Spring Tensioner?
mine had the hydraulic tensioner and i didnt like that it would start with the belt "Slack" and not apply tension until oil pressure built up, even with slow clutch actuation i still think this put some additional stress onto the belt during initial start.
i like that most people are going towards the Elastomeric Cog belt tensioner and it seems to have a good track record thus far.
