just thought I would post a new project I am hoping to create if I get funding and interest, it will be a hybrid 4 seat helicopter, initially for the amateur built experimental category it is Ai generated with my input re the shape, not all the helicopter bits are perfect but is currently just a concept, I have the team all I need is the money and answer to the question,... If I build it will it sell, and what would an amateur builder pay for a 4 seat high performance and smart new helicopter???

Looks great Graeme, projects like this can take many years to complete unless you have an unusual team. I think of what Elon Musk has accomplished in such a short period of time. With the right team and funding the sky is the limit. I wish you the best of success in your dream.

That's quite a journey you would be starting.
Jason Hill has been at it for many years and still no flying helicopter yet.
Were no spring chickens anymore and many of us wouldn't even be able to, or alive to fly it.
I don't think people are willing to spend a lot of money on an experimental helicopter.
I like the improvments your doing on the Rotorway.
I would continue with those, but you need to get some hours on them to prove the theory.
Rotorway needs a new engine/transmission, that will keep you out of the wifes hair for awhile.

I am very fortunate having built the Delta D2, world's first 2 seat diesel powered helicopter, I worked with incredibly intelligent and experienced people, and today they are still happy to work with me, they bring experience to the project that is unmatched, so together we have the skill set, the desire and willingness, just need some funding, It will be a hybrid setup with some very clever new concepts that solve a lot of helicopter issues and state of the art propulsion system, with redundancies that currently do not exist in any current helicopters. And now I have a property I can fly from and a large shed/workshop fitted out with lots of machinery, I am in my element.

Hi Geno, I have proven all the ideas I have posted, they work as I have posted, the next modification for the RW is the shaft drive tail rotor and that is currently being machined.

    Whether or not the actual aircraft you envision ever comes to pass, the technology and discoveries along the way are  worth the journey and often have more impact than the original intent.
