Slider ball replacement

Jorgen, the mast will slide right through the slider ball, it is not attached. Use a wedge like a chisel to force the gap in the counter weight above and the aluminum doughnut below after loosening the clamp bolts to allow them to slide on the main shaft. The slider ball interior bore is larger than the mast OD so it slides up and down very easily as when you raise and lower the collective, it is actually the slider ball carrying the swash plate assembly with it on the shaft.
