Is this forum connected to the ROG forum?
Is it possible to access the ROG achieves?
Are we able to post short videos here, instead of the link?

Hey Geno, this forum is not connected or associated with the ROG forum and was primarily created because ROG archives are inaccessible to the public (unless you pay a fee). I always believed this information should be free and available to the public for everyone to have the same opportunity to make informed decisions. However, I may contact the owner of ROG to see if he'd be willing to let us migrate those archives here in the near future, but I'm not certain what the response will be. If authorized, they will be free for the public to access.
Yes, absolutely you can post videos here and directly upload videos to YouTube from here and it will automatically embed it into your post! I spent a lot of time working on this special functionality, so please let me know if you have any trouble with it. If you just want to embed an already-existing YouTube link, just click the video button as follows:

So I still don't see how to upload a small mp4 video stored on my computer to this post.
This would have nothing to do with YouTube.
Or is it because I haven't posted 10 times yet and the
(Pictures (32MB max) || Videos (2GB max))
is still unsellectable?

Once you make at least 10 posts (replies) then yes, you can use the Upload video to YouTube button. It will prompt you to sign into your YouTube account and upload and insert for you automatically, so you can easily do this from your phone as well.
I made the 10 post requirement just so I have time to identify any bots that passed account verification (AI is getting very powerful these days), because the forum API is shared across all users and if someone uploads illegal or copyrighted content of some kind that gets flagged by Google, I'll have to do some work to get it functional again.
Until you have 10 posts, you can upload to YouTube (or any other media site listed) yourself and use the insert video link.

I've made another forum just now where you can make a few posts and test functionality, if it helps.

My thoughts on ROG forum. If it was/had been maintained, then this forum would not be necessary. Although you had to pay for the full ROG access, for a serious owner/builder, that just became part of the price of being an owner/operator. The problem was, it wasn't maintained properly. And still isn't to this day. I was a paid member. But somewhere along the line, my password I lost i guess, and I struggled with trying to get that fixed until I just gave up. The reset password function does not work. Don't know if it requires a human to interdict the request and manually verify or what, all I know is I haven't' been able to use the ROG forum for months.
It's a shame, but maybe this forum will get good traction and fill the void between the dying ROG forum and Facebook which in my opinion is just not a good platform to maintain, access, and discuss this type information. I am in email communication with several builders who are not on facebook for personal reasons and like me struggle with ROG.

Services Offered: currently can do initial flight training in Alaska in an R22. aswell as any helicopter related maintenance in Alaska, not setup for travel work.
I tried gaining access to ROG over a year ago when i first sought out becoming a Rotorway Owner. i liked the information and manuals i could find access too but forums like these are truly a goldmine of infomation. once i found the facebook group i was satisfied enough but still want to gain access to ROG if thats ever possible, but despite my attempts i never got any response, maybe i was doing something wrong? either way it wasnt intuitive, i'm looking forward to information here being easily searchable and open to everyone in the future.

@ Sam Oliver and @ Lyle Swallows , you're not the only ones who experienced issues with those forums in recent years. There is a lot of great information held there but many others have told me account approvals and regular maintenance has stagnated as well. It'll take some time until we've developed enough data to be beneficial, but I think we'll get there in short time... People like @ Pablo Barroso are planning to help out and start creating maintenance videos to post on the Facebook group and these forums. The Facebook group is great and very active but it is a bit more difficult to archive information in the way that traditional forums can. I think we're off to a great start considering it's the holidays and many people are spending time with family, so I appreciate each and every post/reply people make since it helps accelerate the forum from useless to useful. Also, it improves our search engine ranking over time, which helps attract people who may be looking into Rotorways for the first time.
It is technically possible implement a new feature to feed Rotorway Builder's Page posts/replies on here but it will take some time to develop. That, along with an interactive map of airworthy and unairworthy Rotorways (for those who wish to participate) are two features I've been considering for the future. If anyone has any other ideas they'd like to have or see, I'm very open to giving it a try if it seems like time well spent. I've made a forum for that here.
Regardless, this forum will always remain free and no features will ever be paid access. To handle the potential issues of account fixes/lost passwords in times when I'm unavailable, I'll select a few more volunteer moderators who are willing to help when it becomes more active. That way, there's redundancy if I fail to get things done in time.
